2 scoops = 100 mg of phytocannabinoids (CBD). Available in 1lb and 3lb. The 1lb bag has 3,200 mg of CBD. The 3lb bag has 9,600 mg of CBD. At 2 scoops there are 32 servings in 1lb and 96 servings in 3lbs. Give the pellets to horses, pigs, goats, cattle or any other livestock animal.
Mikko’s Choice pellets contain phytocannabinoids (CBD) found in Hemp. The hemp is organically grown and manufactured in the USA and supports small farmers. The pellets contain 0.0% THC and have an average of 100 mg of CBD per serving. This means they are non-psychoactive and are recommended for pain, stiffness, swelling, stress, worry, concern and uneasiness among other things. Although they are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure anything specific. Each batch is third party tested for CBD & THC content, heavy metals and pesticides. We happily share the results.
Give 2 scoops once or twice a day depending on the reason for giving the pellets and how your animal responds. You can learn more about CBD dosing for animals via our blog. Ingredients:
Hemp meal >= 1.0% Phytocannabinoids, Dehydrated Alfalfa, Myco Curb, Apple Ade
Phytocannabinoid Content >= 0.7%. This is equivalent to 3,200 mg of phytocannabinoids (CBD) per 1lb and 9,600 mg of CBD per 3lbs.
Dosing is not based on weight! Instead it is based on your animal’s individual endocannabinoid system, we equate it to tolerance of alcohol–everyone is different and it can change situationally.
How to start: For horses, pigs and goats give 2 scoops once a day. Stay at this does for at least a week. From there you can add or subtract a scoop daily either once a day or break the dose up twice a day. Sometimes it takes a few days to a few weeks to build up in their system–each animal is different. From there you can find a maintenance dose. This maintenance dose should be given every day (even twice a day) for chronic issues. However, you can adjust it up or down if the issue fluctuates.
For example: If you’re giving 2 scoops you can give them both at one time or 1 scoop Am and 1 scoop PM. Again, stay at this dose for at least a week. Then you can adjust again if needed to find a maintenance dose. It usually only takes a few trials to find the dose that works best for your pet–this is because they are all different in what they need. Generally, 2 scoops works well for all animals.
You can also give situationally as well–for this we recommend a slightly higher dose. If giving for situational stress (Hello, trailer loading, travel or the vet!) ideally this should be given at least 1 hour before, but will still be helpful if given in the moment. How to give: Add to grain or normal food, give by hand or add to a treat! For best results give daily–either once or twice a day. You can give a single large amount daily or break it up.
Side Effects: It is rare, but your pet might become sleepy or very relaxed. This may fade as their body gets used to CBD. You can either keep them at the same dose or back it down.

Mikko’s was recommended to me by my breeder after my miniature piggy started going through The Terrible Twos seemingly overnight. His stress and anxiety were through the roof and the aggression was very different from my first piggy, despite all the same behavior training I start them on from Day One. I can’t believe I didn’t know about Mikko’s sooner and not just because I noticed an immediate change in his behavior as soon as I started adding it to his morning meal but because of joint health. Piggies are so susceptible to joint problems and it’s important to fold in preventative care as soon as it’s recommended for their age/breed etc. I am elated I could add another supplement to his dailies that contribute to his general well being and overall health. He is MUCH calmer and happier…but rest assured it was a matter of trial and error – I started him on one scoop and monitored his behavior and slowly added from there. I was reluctant that this product would help my pig with severe shoulder arthritis as I have tried so many different products without luck. I just wanted to let you know how my potbelly pig is doing on the CBD pellets. I’ve noticed a big change in her. She is walking better but she still gets on her knees a lot. It seems easier for her to get up on her feet in the morning and I’ve even seen her out grazing, which I haven’t seen her do in a year. She is wagging her tail a lot and talking more. I’ve been giving her 2 scoops a day but I think I might give her a little more and see if it will help her stay off her knees.

I am a long time user of the Mikko’s Choice products & am never surprised that I continue to find more uses for them as time goes on. In February 2023 we got in an older appaloosa gelding named Finn for training & resale. His confirmation wasn’t great & it was clear that he was stiff all over. When putting an older horse through our often rigorous training program, it can sometimes be hard for them to adjust to using their bodies as we ask them to. One day I had the bright idea to try putting him on the CBD pellets just to see if it would help to limber him up a bit while stretching, and the difference was incredible. He was much more comfortable & willing to use his body after about 7 days on the pellets. I ended up keeping him on CBD throughout his time with me and when I went to sell him, I recommended that his owner continue supplementing him with Mikkos Choice CBD.

I have a rescue pig who suffers from several spinal issues, such as a herniated and slipped discs, as well as weak back legs. He is most often fine and moving around normally, grazing, etc, but a few times a month he’ll be in obvious pain and reduces his movements drastically. Ever since I started him on the Mikkos cbd pellets he has become a totally different pig when the infrequent “attacks” hit, taking the cbd pellets daily helps keep his inflammation reduced drastically which in turn helps reduce his pain. It also calms him and helps him rest comfortably when he is anxious due to the pain from his minor attacks. I started giving him the pellets daily and noticed a reduction in “attacks” hed have each month by almost half. I use 4 scoops daily for my 110 pound male fixed pig, split between his daily 1 cup of food pellets, which I also split between his breakfast and dinner. I supplement his diet with vegetables daily as well. This product has helped my pig and my family tremendously and I am so appreciative that you designed this medication with large animals in mind. So often large or “farm” animals are left in pain or are over prescribed medication, as it can be hard to find the right medicine or the appropriate information to help. This product is the help we needed so badly when nothing else seemed to work remotely as well as these cbd pellets. I give this product a 10/10, I would definitely recommend!

I’ve had my big guy on Mikkos Choice since 2020 for numerous reasons but I couldn’t be happier he’s on it when it comes to moments like 2 weeks ago when I finally was able to move him home.
Without his CBD I don’t think he would’ve been able to make the move as well as he did with it helping keep more him calm and relaxed. Each day since then I’ve gone back to hand feeding a little extra and he gobbles it right up. The first week with going to work knowing he was there (mind you I’m a first time owner and this was my first time having him home) I felt so anxious, but every evening I came home with a seemingly unbothered and calm fella.
He did pace the first few days but once he had his mikko he would go back to eating his hay. While he’s still more alert than usual, his overall demeanor has calmed down and I know that his CBD is playing a huge part in the success of that. 💙 It has in the success of so many things for years now!!

We freaking love these pellets!
I have a 9 year old mustang that for the most part is a pretty laid back dude. However, I I had noticed at shows he would get nervous poops and act a little anxious, he paced when tied to the trailer and it was hard to keep his focus. When we started upping training and more complex movements he started to develop some tension as well as some soreness as he built more muscle.
We started these pellets. He gets 2 scoops with his morning feed, and when traveling to shows or clinics he gets an extra single scoop before loading onto the trailer.
It’s helped tremendously without affecting his energy levels like calming supplements do. It knocks the edge off in the best way.
He no longer has nervous poops and is more relaxed at shows and away at clinics, he acts like he is at home.
His concentration and focus are so much better. His training is progressing so much without the added tension. He is happy to work! That’s so important to me. His recovery after exercise is faster, he’s less sore.
I didn’t realize how much of a difference it was at first. I tried it for a month and stopped it, that’s when I realized what a huge impact it had for us. I immediately ordered the 3lb bag and have had him on it ever since.
I love that it doesn’t change his energy and temperament, he’s still himself without anxiety and tension.
